I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the rooms were nice, well-appointed, and had comfy beds with great views, some aspects could be improved. The service was lovely, but there were some issues with older features. The location was excellent but somewhat drab in parts. The dining varied greatly from awful to the best I've had at a hotel.

Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were large and clean, with a view of the street and older shops below, but they felt a bit sparse. The service was friendly and helpful, although there were some issues with the outdated facilities. The location was interesting, offering a trip back to the 1920s, but it could be confusing at times. The dining experience was good with a variety of breakfast options, but there were some unexpected negatives. Overall, it was a decent stay with some room for improvement.

Rooms

5.0/10

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room layout was unusual with the larger bed placed right by the door, and there was no TV to watch comfortably from bed. On the bright side, breakfast seemed to be free. However, the room felt smelly and too hot despite the air conditioning set at 60 degrees.

Rooms
5.0
The room layout was a bit odd, but it seemed like breakfast was included. However, the room was not very pleasant due to the smell and temperature issues.
Service
5.0
I had to wait two hours for my room to be ready despite confirming our arrival time beforehand. The room had broken furniture and tiles, and the elevators were not functioning well. On the positive side, the staff was helpful and even gave a mini history lesson during a tour of the ballrooms and boardrooms.
Location
6.0
The location of the hotel was a bit confusing with different names, reminiscent of Austin 40 years ago. Despite this, it felt safe enough to walk around until early evening, and it was convenient for accessing local sights.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a bit haphazard.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lacking, with the broken elevator and poorly maintained rooms being significant drawbacks. However, the presence of Italian products was a nice touch.
